Private PA | Home and Family Office

Central London

Full Time

We are seeking applicants for a diverse, traditional and broad Private PA role for a longstanding client located in the heart of Central London.

The client, a well-known Philanthropist and cultural Patron is looking for a new Private PA who is able to work autonomously as well as part of a wider team from the family office which is located in their historic London home.

The client is busy, with an enormous number of commitments and engagements so we are looking for an established and experienced Private PA who has meticulous and fluid diary management skills, and who will oversee last minute changes, travel itineraries and personal errands with minimum fuss.  The candidate will also be required to work alongside the CEO of the Client’s personal foundation and assist with any event planning required.

This is a role with some international travel so the candidate must be able to be flexible with their time, and whilst standard working hours are expected there will be occasion when longer hours are required which will be taken into consideration.

This is a very approachable role for an established Private PA who is looking for a long-term position.  The client is getting older in years and, whilst still very active and engaged in their lives, they aren’t as busy as in previous years and certainly travelling less – so whilst a broad and busy role it isn’t a challenging 24/7 Private PA position and perhaps best viewed as a traditional Private Secretary.

Location:           Central London

Hours:              Mon-Fri 10h00 – 19h00 with some flexibility

Salary:               up to £60,000

Interviewing:     ASAP

Start Date:         Mid-April for handover

Notes:               Some travel involved

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handling all types of correspondence – in both written and electronic format
  • Managing event reservations including restaurants, theatre and concerts
  • Diary and schedule management
  • All aspects of travel – both commercial and private
  • General administration and office management
  • Minor finance – procuring of services, managing household purchases, invoice payment
  • Organising and managing private dinners, parties and other “at home events”
  • Personal duties to the client – including scheduling of doctor’s appointments, managing prescriptions and even attending doctor’s appointments on occasion
  • Fulfilling aspects of the client’s personal shopping needs

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Prior experience working in either a formal household or with UHNW clientele in a Private PA capacity
  • Due to the personal nature of the role and close working relationship, utmost discretion and mutual respect at all times
  • Respect for and genuine collaboration with other members of the household, amongst whom there is a strong sense of team
  • The client connects and engages with a broad circle of people via their charitable works - from homeless military veterans, through to world famous musicians and high-profile dignitaries. This is something the client values and will therefore expect that the personal assistant to be comfortable in this arena; they must be able to respect and appropriately address anyone they interact with on her behalf, with the correct etiquette
  • An appreciation of and comfort around dogs will be a distinct advantage
  • The role holder must be equally comfortable taking instruction but also using their own initiative
  • As this position is supporting the life of a private individual rather than a business leader, the successful candidate must be able to show heightened levels of empathy and emotional intelligence
