The role requires exemplary communication and logistical skills and works in partnership with the marketing team and broader membership. Quality and providing unique experiences for the members is of prime importance. Responsibilities:

• Working alongside senior management, develop detailed logistics plans for events covering all aspects of delivery

• Developing a realistic budget for each event and be responsible for monitoring spend and budget reconciliation 

• Identifying and booking venues for the events, including engaging in negotiations , contract review and site visits

• Identify and book external suppliers to provide services and AV support

• Liaising with the Communications team on all marketing and media collateral, including delivery to event locations

• Setting up and managing the delegate management process,  compiling and sending out speaker and delegate information 

• Arranging and coordinating internal staffing requirements and staff briefings for events

• Fully managing the event on the day(s) through project leading internal staff and external suppliers

• Post event analysis are wrap-up

Requirements

• Strong academic background and previous experience in event and project management, particularly on with international events

• Excellent written English and oral communication skills 

• A strong understanding of marketing communications and client experience

• Strong time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to deadlines and to effectively prioritise multiple work streams

• Highly computer literate with excellent user ability in the Microsoft suite of programs, particularly PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel 

• A strong understanding of social media and how to promote events on social media platforms
