Job Purpose
Permanent position within the Human Resources team as the HR Manager supporting the Head of HR. Primary function is to partner with the wider business on operational and strategic directions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of HR to manage all aspects of the HR function
- To ensure the legal and regulatory compliance of HR at all times. To remain up to date with best practice, anticipate changes in the law and reflect in policy/working practices as appropriate.
- Oversee and support sound employee relations practices, providing direct support as required to the Head of HR and members of the Executive Committee.
- Create new and review existing Company policies
- Manage talent acquisition
- Review current benefits provision
- Lead project to source an alternative payroll & HR software provider
- Manage and process the payroll process for four entities
- Develop existing performance review process, including review of existing documentation, processes and performance metrics
- Manage and administer employee salary lifecycle
- Manage internal and external audits
- Participate in regular discussions with Managers and Executive Committee on immediate resourcing and succession planning requirements in order to identify gaps and develop plans to fulfil both short term and long-term requirements.
- Responsible for talent and career development. Ensure talent mapping of high performers and providing support to leaders in developing talent. Promote career conversations to enable leaders to plan for the future.
- Manage the appraisal and promotion process to ensure timely launch of programmes and engagement from all stakeholders. Advise and coach on performance management and the related issues and challenges.
- Provide support and guidance to ensure the annual pay process is delivered effectively and on time. In particular, facilitate relevant salary and bonus discussions to ensure moderation across the business maintaining objectivity and fairness; linking compensation decisions to performance; and, ensuring relevant market information is taken into account
- Training needs analysis including organising training for employees
- Provide monthly reporting on HR, Long Term Incentive Plans and payroll analytics
- Overhaul job descriptions company-wide and create new job descriptions where required
- Be the brand ambassador via creation of Company communications
- Manage the Compensation Round including creation of benchmark metrics and compensation packs
- Bi-annual board papers including remuneration papers
- Create and manage the onboarding programme
- Create a HR Manual
Experience Required
- Asset Management/Investment Trust industry experience essential
- Prior experience leading on new payroll/HRIS provider
- Payroll experience with ADP
- Thorough understanding of LTIPs, Performance Shares and Deferred shares within ShareTrack
- Experience with creating a performance review system and onboarding programme
- Essential to have previously created Company Communications including brand pack
- Experience working with all levels of stakeholders including high profile individuals, lawyers and
- service providers
- 360-degree recruitment experience with both agency and in-house experience
- Previous experience creating a HR Manual and Onboarding Programme
- Essential experience in producing and presenting data to Remuneration Committees is required
What we are looking for
Must have a qualified background as a generalist HR professional (Bachelor of HR or equivalent) with a thorough understanding of the employee lifecycle, UK payroll & HR laws and HR systems such as Freedom, HR and ShareTrack. The individual will be someone who has experience working with all levels of stakeholders including high profile individuals, lawyers and service providers.
You will be a highly competent individual with good attention to detail who would enjoy being a member of a small team. You will be a team player who will produce work that is consistently of high quality, timely and accurate.
