Global Communications, designs and implements communications strategies which support HSBC’s business objectives, in line with our values, and enhance and protect our reputation among key stakeholders.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Global Communications team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Volunteering brings many benefits to the local community, but it can also be a great way to for employees to develop new skills and build team unity. In July 2018 a new site – HSBC Volunteering was launched to make it easier for employees to find opportunities and volunteer. The site has been launched in a few pilot countries but now needs to be deployed globally.

The role holder will be providing support, system and administrative support for HSBC Volunteering. Their responsibilities will include:

  • Run daily processes on HSBC Volunteering to ensure that opportunities are being approved correctly on the site.%
  • Own and manage support mailboxes for both HSBC Alumni and HSBC Volunteering, escalating complex queries as necessary
  • Perform regular checks and log any issues with site vendors, including updating teams/users throughout
  • Update DIMs for both HSBC Alumni and HSBC Volunteering, suggesting process improvements where necessary
  • Ensure data from vendors and internal teams (e.g. HR) is logged and managed appropriately
  • Perform ad-hoc project tasks, including running v-lookups or other data searches to support marketing activity
  • Produce basic reports that will allow us to assess the performance of each site

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment
  • Able to prioritise and complete tasks with competing deadlines and work across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Comfortable manipulating and analysing data.
