Assisting a partner who has a caseload and a team to manage, as well as an excellent doc production centre to handle the bulk of the typing, this is a great opening for a legal secretary to focus on developing their PA skills, including lots of liaison with people inside and outside of the department, managing the partner's diary and travel, and getting involved in every aspect of the day to day running of the office.
The partner handles a mixture of legal work, which adds a good deal of variety to the role, and because of this, he is not looking for any specific type of legal secretary experience other than a background of a couple of years as a legal secretary. It also provides an opportunity for the successful legal secretary to broaden their legal experience.
