We have an opportunity for a permanent Senior Advisor to work for a registered charity that supports the Advertising and Media industries. They have recently seen growth in calls from people needing emotional support, redundancy guidance and help financially. This is where the Advisor will be needed.

JOB PURPOSE

The successful candidate will provide confidential, impartial and tailored guidance, providing emotional support with a focus on employee relations matters.

They will need coaching skills and experience giving guidance on employee relations, redundancy, grievance and disciplinary, bullying and harassment and managing sickness. Issues that affect wellbeing such as financial concerns, pressure, stress, mental health, bereavement and domestic abuse will also be on the agenda.

They will need to:

- refer clients to other resources such as counselling, legal and manage applications for grants

- work closely with other departments sharing knowledge on industry trends, and legislation

- build relationships with other service providers and charities ensuring impartiality, confidentiality, detailed case records, GDPR compliance

- work to a budget ensuring the correct allocation and distribution of grants

- compile case statistics and Value Impact measurement

- provide internal training and contribute to providing guidance to the Team Executive

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

- excellent social and communication skills.

- proven coaching skills, insight into factors affecting an individual’s wellbeing.

- confidentiality, impartiality, safeguarding and professional relationship boundaries

- Passionate about client-focused service and database storage of detailed case notes

- Competent with Microsoft Office suite (from Excel to PowerPoint)

Desirable criteria:

•             Experience of providing HR / employment law guidance

•             Experience or interest in developing skills in people development, wellbeing and L&D

•             Evidence of continued professional development such as CIPD

•             Charity experience and knowledge of guiding individuals who are in and out of work

•             Experience of working within the advertising and media industry
