The MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL is an international centre of excellence for clinical trials and associated research, undertaking the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of large-scale, multi-centre studies, to assess the value of medical interventions in a variety of clinical areas including cancer, HIV and tuberculosis.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to work as part of a highly collaborative team. The purpose of the Administrator role is to support timely administrative and secretarial support across all aspects of the Unit’s operations. This is a great job for those who enjoy a variety of tasks where no working day is the same and the chance to play a part behind the scenes in supporting the smooth running of the Unit. It also presents an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to develop a career in administration.

The successful candidate for this Administrator role will be working in a team of around fifteen administrators and research support staff that provides administrative support to designated trial and project team support staff, senior scientific staff, clinicians and trial managers throughout the Unit, as well as external collaborators.

The Administrator post is to undertake maternity leave cover and will be on a 12 months contract and is expected to be available from mid-April.

Key Requirements of the Administrator role:

The successful candidate for this Administrator role will have excellent organisation and communication skills and attention to detail. They will have the ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.

The successful candidate will have 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English, A levels, NVQ Level I/II Administration, or equivalent or having acquired substantial relevant experience.
