A unique opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and established personal assistant to join a rapidly growing firm based in prestigious offices in Leeds City centre. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the legal industry and ideally property, banking or corporate law. This is a role to make your own; you will have exposure to many different responsibilities within a firm that has a brilliant working culture. Staff have the opportunity to invest in the business and the environment is very much ‘work hard, play hard’.

Duties include;

  • Answering calls, taking messages and handling correspondence
  • Word processing letters and legal documents and preparing emails as requested; including audio typing, copy typing, processing hand amended documents, Land Registry forms, Land Registry portal downloads, Companies House information etc.
  • Ordering and collating property searches
  • Familiar with all aspects of a Commercial Real Estate transactions including flow of funds and requirements
  • Managing fee earner diaries
  • Booking meeting rooms and arranging travel and accommodation
  • Responding to Client and Fee Earner requests in a timely manner
  • Filing correspondence and documents on files
  • Opening client files and closing files
  • Managing databases
  • Various finance administration including billing and transaction requisitions
  • Assisting in collating management information including cashflow and pipeline updates
  • Covering certain tasks when office manager is away

Skills required;

  • High level of IT skills on document management (case management software, Word and Excel)
  • Clear understanding of the client opening and AML requirements of the SRA
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proactive and enthusiastic
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships both externally and internally
  • Team player
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
