A fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious property company as a HR Advisor. This is a maternity cover that is longer then 12 months with a view to go permanent.

This role will provide support to the Head of HR in areas which include, recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, compliance, selection, orientation and employee relations. This is a very broad generalist role in a small team so the ideal candidate will need to be prepared to take a ‘hands on’ approach.  Good communication, a proactive approach and teamwork are essential in this busy department

Job Summary:                  

Supports administration, co-ordination and application of HR policies and procedures.

  • Maintain and update the employee information database.
  • Maintain and update personnel files in hard or electronic copies in accordance with GDPR.
  • Monitoring absence, ensuring that accurate daily records are maintained.
  • Assists in day to day recruiting, including writing job descriptions, preparing adverts, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews and assisting managers as required during the process. There will normally be 2 to 3 placements per month.
  • Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies for the supply of temporary staff.
  • Co-ordinate the on-boarding process liaising with managers as necessary to ensure relevant documentation has been obtained, IT has been set up, and inductions are completed.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and organise relevant training for staff members.
  • To manage general HR queries as well as provide some basic ER/policy advice to Managers.
  • Prepare standard letters and contracts for the Head of HR.
  • Note taking in meetings such as disciplinary, redundancy and grievance.
  • Co-ordinate the leavers process ensuring relevant IT documentation has been completed.
  • Collating monthly or ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Ad hoc projects and audits as requested by the Head of HR.
  • Assist with communication of employee benefits, provides information to staff and processes any changes or updates to employee files.
  • Maintain department guides, organisation charts and other general staff information.
