We are looking for an enthusiastic, personable EA to CEO with excellent organisational, communication and research skills who can support the busy CEO on his global mission. Temp-Perm £42k
An EA opportunity to work with a wide range of leading global businesses, investors and other key players in the reporting field. The size and nature of the team allows the EA to challenge themselves freely with a range of new opportunities and places an emphasis on flexibility and lateral thinking. The successful EA candidate will gain exposure to a range of leading global initiatives aimed at tackling some of the 21st Centuries most pressing challenges.
Hours: 9-5
Summary of Responsibilities:
You will report directly into the CEO. Your responsibilities as Executive Assistant to the CEO will include activities relating to:
Executive support
- Undertake research, liaising with colleagues as appropriate, to produce high quality briefings, speech notes and other related documentation
- Collaborate closely and effectively with the CEO in order to fully understand his priorities and focus areas
- Provide briefing material for the CEO for meetings
- Assist the CEO with speechwriting and delivery by providing research, drafting speaking points and preparing slides
- Anticipate, recognise and take appropriate action on behalf of the CEO
- Inbox management and prioritization for the CEO
- Convene, attend and contribute to internal and sometimes external meetings on the CEO's behalf
- Seamlessly manage and prioritize conflicting demands
- Effectively prioritise matters requiring the CEO's action or decision
- Contribute to delivery of the CEO's input to governing body meetings, internal reporting and annual planning processes and ensure deadlines are met
- Work with, and effectively delegate to, an allocated colleague who separately manages the CEO's travel bookings and meeting programmes for foreign trips
- Following-up on all agreed actions and monitoring progress
- Manage relevant contact and account information ensuring the CRM system is updated appropriately
- Lead on preparing agenda and papers for the monthly Senior Management Team Meeting, accurately minute the meeting and ensure follow up of agreed actions.
The successful candidate will also have:
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines whilst juggling a range of priorities with minimal supervision
- An inquisitive mind and demonstrable ability to research complex topics and effectively select the most engaging, salient points
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with absolute discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal confidently with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive, flexible approach and sense of humour
- An understanding of the business, accounting or investment world, and a demonstrable interest in the company's mission and objectives
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications
- Competency with Apple OS is desirable
- Competency in a second language is desirable
- Right to work in the UK.
The hardest skill in secretarial recruitment is finding the right "fit" between PA and boss. RMS concentrates on matching the chemistry between people.
