Committee Administrator

We are urgently recruiting for a Committee Administrator to start immediately on a Temporary contract for 3 weeks, with the possibly of this role being extended further. This role is located in London Bridge and is paying a competitive £15 an hour.

Who will you be working for

Our client represents the transmission and distribution network operators for electricity and gas in the UK and Ireland. Their members control and maintain the critical national infrastructure that delivers these vital services into our homes and businesses. As the voice of the energy networks sector, they act as a strategic focus and channel of communication for the industry.

What will you be doing

The role will support the Director of Policy & Gas and Head of Gas in providing an administrative function to the Gas Policy team.

  • Supporting gas network working groups - drafting agendas and minutes, circulating papers, booking meetings and completing actions

  • Management and administration of company website

  • Liaising with members, acting as a first point of contact for networks

  • Arrange meetings with members and key stakeholders as required;

  • Provide briefing papers and ad-hoc reports.

  • Contribute to the overall work of the Gas Policy Team and conduct any other duties as required by the Director of Policy & Gas and Head of Gas.

About you

  • Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail

  • Minute taking experience essential

  • Strong ability to build and maintain business relationships

  • Strong organisational skills and takes responsibility for delivering expected outcomes on time and to standard

  • Effective communicator, both orally and in writing - including ability to draft papers, reports and industry responses.

  • Able to work independently as well as a team player
