TITLE: Membership Officer
RESPONSIBLE TO: Membership Administration Manager
HOURS: Monday - Friday 9am-6pm
PURPOSE: To provide excellent efficient support and customer care to new and Re-joining Organisational members
Duties and responsibilities:

- To assist members to ensure that joining The Organisation is a straightforward and simple experience.
- To deal with customer enquiries to a high standard of care.
- To maintain the membership database and ensure it is as accurate and up to date as possible.
- To ensure that all payments are accurately and efficiently processed.
- To ensure that membership packs are efficiently mailed out in a timely way.
- To support the Membership Administration Manager in preparing reports for management.
- To contribute experience and knowledge to improving processes.
- To ensure that all administrative tasks are effectively undertaken.
- To ensure personal professional development and to maintain current awareness and skills.
- To comply with The Organisation’s policy relating to health and safety and equal opportunities.
- Any other duties as may be needed as part of the effective operation of The Organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of supporting people in a customer environment and a positive and helpful attitude.
- At the minimum an understanding of the unique identity of membership bodies and how membership works.
- Ability to work as part of a team and get on well with colleagues.
- Competence in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience of the use of databases.
- Previous Memberships experience.
