A leading wealth management company based in the heart of the City of London is seeking an experienced Banking Assistant to provide vital support to their Accounting team during an employee’s Maternity Leave. Alongside performing a multitude of important financial tasks to the highest of standards, you will also support the Account Manager and play a significant role as the liaison between clients and the Bank.
Your duties will include:
- Receiving and transmitting orders, sending confirmation to clients
- Cash management – foreign exchange transactions, fiduciary deposits, transfers, cheques, etc.
- Account openings, closing and maintenance
- Loans, Overdraft Facilities, Fee Schedules
- Engaging with clients on telephone calls – adhering to confidentiality guidelines
- Organising incoming and outgoing correspondence, execution of client orders
- Preparation for client visits – valuations, documents, presentations, portfolio reviews
- Preparing BD or CRM trips for bankers – client lists, arrange meetings
- Preparation of quarterly assets under management
- Training new and existing members of staff
- Database management
- Ensure client records are updated on a regular basis
- Ad-hoc administration and project work as required
You will have proven experience within private banking and/or wealth management and be confident in your ability to work with minimal supervision and juggle a range of tasks without cracking under pressure. Strong organisational skills are essential, as well as a team-orientated mindset and an outgoing, professional manner. You must have an excellent knowledge of financial markets and instruments, in addition to: compliance, regulations, tax status and corporate structures. An IAD or IMC qualification is highly desirable, and being conversational in French would be a bonus!
