Senior Pensions Administrator

Leading UK retailer

Contract Until April

Daily rate £160 - £200

Job Description:

  • Involved in checking of day to day administration work and carrying out complex member cases
  • To answer queries from Members, ex Members and relevant stakeholders
  • To support all aspects of the administration of the Pension Scheme
  • To support the Team Leaders in delivering SLA (Service Level Agreement) and Key metrics

Provides senior level input to processing day to day administration including:

  • Checking and signing off simple member cases
  • Carrying out complex member cases
  • Answering member helpline calls and resolving cases
  • Review and sign off of responses to standard member email/letter queries and requests
  • Drafting initial responses to complex member emails/letters, or member complaints
  • Checking of set up new pension scheme members

Supports Pension Office in delivering:

  • Changes to processes arising from Scheme or pension benefit changes
  • One off pension benefit related projects
  • Recurring weekly/monthly/annual pension administration tasks
  • Delivers great customer service to pension scheme members and other stakeholders
  • Queries are dealt with promptly, efficiently and in a professional manner
  • Understanding individual impact on delivery of Pension Office SLAs and proactively managing workload to support in delivery of SLA.
  • Compliance with policies and process
  • Reviews casework accurately, and identifies complex cases as required for additional input/review from Team Leader, Pensions.
  • Proactively seeks out and identifies process improvements to contribute to the department's Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Takes actions to implement continuous improvement initiatives

Person spec:

  • Good PC skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • 5 years or more relevant pension experience working on DB and DC pension arrangements
