Historic England is the public body that champions and protects England`s historic environment for generations to come.

As EA to either the Director of Policy & Evidence or Director of Communications & Public Engagement, you will ensure that:

• Every experience associated with the office is highly professional and positively reflects our values and behaviours.
• Providing high level support, you will ensure all correspondence and communication from the office is of the highest standard.
• You will be ensuring the Director is organised, briefed and makes most effective use of their time. 
• Engaging with a broad range of staff, including PAs within the group, to chase and report progress on current and future deadlines and projects, you will also represent the Director and their interests and priorities, with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, taking minutes and circulating notes.

To be successful in this role:

• You will have previously supported a senior manager and developed exceptional secretarial and administrative skills.
• With excellent organisation and planning skills, and proven ability to work effectively under pressure, juggle conflicting demands and manage multiple tasks, you will also be highly motivated and proactive.
• Demonstrating an adaptable and flexible approach to work, you will also communicate articulately and effectively with a natural ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
