Building Maintenance Officer

A top US and International law firm are keen to recruit a Building Maintenance Officer to join their existing Facilities team on a permanent basis. This will be a busy and varied role and the firm are looking for an organised and hardworking individual who is happy to work with a hands on approach. You will work in conjunction with the wider Facilities team to ensure the premises are kept to a high standard.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Ensure premises are in good repair including electrics, paintwork, heating & plumbing and electrical fittings and systems. Liaising with the appropriate agent to address any work required to be completed.
• Proactive control of expenditure, working in conjunction with Admin and Operations.
• Daily monitoring of the floor to review and address any pressing repairs.
• First point of call for out of hours building issues.
• Maintenance of the security of the office by liaising with Security suppliers in both the UK and DC to ensure all relevant parties are kept updated.
• Coordination of Security passes throughout the offices.
• Monitoring performance of external contractors and provide reports to Admin & Operations.
• Coordination of contracts of external vendors to ensure SLA's are adhered to.
• Ensure the firm meet the required regulations.

The successful Building Maintenance Officer will have a flexible approach to their work as well as being able to work well within a team. They will have experience gained, ideally within a Professional Services environment however this is not essential. The person must hold the BIFM (Level 3 or above) and the IOSH qualifications.
