The position on offer is for an experienced Assistant Accountant, seeking to get hands-on work within a highly demanding finance department. The Responsibility of the Assistant Accountant:

Some, but not all, of the roles expected to be carried out by the Assistant Accountant:

• Liaising with Financial Controller and other management, obtaining information on regulatory and statutory reporting
• Analysis of branch performance within strict deadlines to ensure adequate reviews from senior executive and financial controller
• Development and maintenance of relationships with all branches to ensure accuracy of data
• Internal Regulatory and maintenance of core banking application
• VAR Preparation based on reporting guidelines
• Accurate and timely production of all management reports
• A focus on accurate representatives of the day to day transactions of the Bank

Essentials of the Assistant Accountant:

The successful Assistant Accountant will have the following experience and skills:

• At least 5 years' experience of working within Financial Services
• Part Qualified ACCA
• Strong understanding of the AP process, reconciliation, financial reporting and Sage 50 application
• A true professional
• In-depth knowledge of accounting
• Heavily numerate with strong analysis skills
• Hard working
• Advanced in using Excel
