Junior Account Executive

Our client, a leading PR agency specialising in corporate communications are currently seeking a trainee account executive to join their teams. Starting on a temporary basis this will be an exciting opportunity for someone to further their experience in PR. Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; this position will suit someone that has had some experience working in corporate communications and has an interest in working in this sector.

Some of your responsibilities would include:

• liaising with clients and the media, often via telephone and email on a daily basis
• Media monitoring for opportunities for clients – this could include collecting newspaper cuttings etc.
• Assisting with development of client proposals and implementing PR activities and strategies
• Preparing and delivering client reports
• Attending and contributing to client meetings
• Drafting and researching press releases
• Selling in news stories to the media
• Securing new business leads for clients and researching these
• Handling any crisis communications

  The ideal candidate for this role will be:

• Able to demonstrate some previous experience in PR – through work experience, placements etc.
• It would be advantageous to have corporate communications experience
• Happy to work as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to start on an immediate basis/short notice
