ABOUT
Our client is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Project Co-ordinator to join their small but critical team within the Communications Department. You will work as part of a two-person team to project manage a number of core projects and to coordinate creative support e.g. photography and digital assets.
The role includes estimating/pricing, traffic, production management, quality control, resource allocation and deadline management.
You must have proven project management skills, work well in deadline-oriented environments, have strong organisational and problem solving skills, very good attention to detail and must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
A knowledge of the design and production process is critical. As is being able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and working in an environment that requires flexibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working under the direction of the Director/Head of Communications you will be the focal point for the development of publications and creative collateral. This involves project managing all aspects of their annual corporate comms programme including the annual review, services directory and agency census. You will also work up other briefs as required
- Working with the Ops department you will also be responsible for the publications and stock control along with fulfilment of publication orders. This will include ISBN number registration and logging hard copies with the British Library
- You will also be the point of contact for third party permission requests. This can occasionally involve requests for translations or sourcing published material
- Continue to work with agencies to develop and update the company’s corporate identity
You will also have general creative services responsibilities:
- Providing creative and editorial support as required
- Managing and supporting designers, editors and illustrators
- Proofing the production of all creative materials
- Producing/converting artwork files as necessary
- Sourcing materials
- Collating assets
- Providing assistance in marketing campaigns: logistics and the production of materials
- Being able to work to deadlines and managing a budget
SKILLS
- Project management
- PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite
- Proof reading
- Excellent understanding of English grammar, punctuation and spelling
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Comfortable with the creative process – from brief to delivery
- Excellent proof reading and sub-editing skills
- Ability to write and recognise good copy
- Some experience of working in design agency / publishing house
- Familiarity with uploading and creating a ‘shop window’ with e-commerce sites
ABOUT YOU
You must be able to communicate effectively with many stakeholders, be proactive and a self-starter with a keen eye for detail. You work well in a team environment and you are able to take direction and support.
The role is ideally suited to someone with a passion for the English language and who has already experience of project manage.
You’ll be working creatively in a sometimes-pressurised environment with multiple priorities – and this won’t phase you at all.
