Legal PA in Construction Department
This role is ideal for an experienced Legal PA/Secretary who has previously worked within the legal sector.
As a Legal PA you will be responsible for providing excellence in a secretarial, organisational and administrative manner. Working in the Construction department and supporting 2 partners + 3 fee earners, you must be able to priortise work-loads in accordance of urgency and provide seamless support at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Being a gate-keeper for your team, taking ownership of enquiries and resolving/escalating these as necessary.
- Having a genuine interest and understanding of the work involved whilst building strong and stable relationships within the firm.
- Working on documents, amending or producing legal documents in accordance with house style format
- Completing tasks such as audio dictation
- Exhibiting the ability to act upon own initiative, whilst having the confidence to highlight problems and provide solutions as necessary
- Managing busy diaries, incl arranging meetings, conference calls and lunches
- Arranging international and domestic travel and maintaining a calm attitude whilst working in a busy environment
- Regular maintenance of filing systems, e-filing, and archiving and retrieval of files from store and opening new matter files.
- Extensive billing, keeping records of team finances including expenses, disbursements and fees for clients.
- Supporting the Team Leader with overflow secretarial tasks required by other groups across the office as appropriate during busy periods or to cover absences
- Receipting TT/BACS and sending posting slips
- Ad hoc duties as and when required.

Person Specification
To be successful within this role, you will possess exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to create strong and solid relationships with people of all levels, be self-motivated and proactive, and innovate in your approach. You must have previous experience of a similar role and be client-centric in your approach.
Professional/Technical Skills
Typing speed of at least 60WPM, advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications and Training
Minimum 5 GCSE's or equivalent at A-C including English and Maths.
