Timetabling Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Timetabling Officer to join an independent Higher Education establishment based near London Bridge. This is working on an interim basis whilst they recruit permanently starting beginning of January 2019.

Interviews will be held week commencing 7th January.

Who will you be working for?

Our client is an independent School of Higher Education that offers career focused degree courses for UK and international students. This is a growing establishment who are regarded as one of the best independent educational institutions in the UK.

What will you be doing?

The main focus of the role is the Timetabling function in Academic Registry; This can be a very complex role working with specialist software and systems and therefor requires particular skills in data handling and problem solving. Duties will include:

  • Ensuring the maintenance and integrity of course and module data is up to scratch, and contribute to checks and procedures for data concerning courses
  • Run and check student standard and bespoke timetables
  • Responsible for using the data supplied to create the School teaching timetable
  • Working closely and collegiately with senior Academic staff
  • Assist the Scheduling and Resource Manager with various tasks including the development, implementation and review of an explicit annual cycle of events and guidance notes
  • Complete allocated work tasks in accordance with defined timeframes of delivery and team targets.

About you

The Timetabling Officer will need to have excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, and have effective time management and be passionate about actively contributing to the overall success of the organisation. Along with this you must have experience working in an educational environment and proven track record of effectively planning, prioritising and managing multiple tasks.
