Accounts Assistant / Junior Legal Cashier

Medium-sized West End law firm, is looking to hire an Accounts Assistant / junior Legal Cashier to join their busy Accounts / Finance team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s Finance Director, Accounts Manager and two Legal Cashiers and will undertake a broad range of legal accounts duties, including, but not limited to:

• General postings and data entry
• Dealing with claims
• Inputting a large number of purchase invoices
• Petty cash postings
• Assisting with credit control

We are keen to speak to enthusiastic and proactive candidates who are looking to build a career in legal accounts (as an accounts assistant or legal cashier) and who have at least six months’ experience of working within a law firm. Previous experience of accounts work and a basic understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules are desirable but not essential. 

Applicants should also demonstrate strong organisational skills, and a real enthusiasm for legal accounts work.
