Bilingual Executive Assistant (French Speaking) – Corporate

We are urgently looking for a Bilingual Executive Assistant in fluent French to join the Corporate division of a prestigious City law firm to work as a ‘right-hand’ EA to the Fee Earners. The firm are open to candidates from either a legal or professional services background, ideally with Corporate, Finance or Banking knowledge who can work efficiently in this high-octane environment and under pressure. The onus of this role is to be a gatekeeper, hold the fort, make quick business decisions and forge strong client relationships with high profile clients. Tact and diplomacy are required due to the confidential nature of the work as well as good project management and leadership skills. As a Bilingual Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for:  

  • Providing comprehensive ‘right-hand’ EA support to the Fee Earners within the Corporate team
  • Inbox management, dealing with client confidentiality and actioning emails on behalf of the Fee Earners
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all internal and external communications
  • Setting up Executive Board meetings, preparing agendas and committee papers, attending and taking minutes at meetings
  • Extensive client liaisons on a global basis
  • International and multi-destination travel arrangements, flights, accommodation, visa applications, itineraries
  • Client event management – venue sourcing, invitations and all event logistics
  • Proactive diary management, setting up conference calls and video conferences, internal and external meetings
  • Building strong relationships with business services teams and maintain effective and efficient use of business support services
  • Assisting with financial and transactional management i.e. billing process, WIP and client matter engagement, time recording

Personal Competencies:

​You will need to be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and Bilingual communication skills, good commercial awareness, business acumen in this diverse, stimulating and responsible role, taking ownership of decisions and delivering a high-quality service. You will also have:

  • Previous EA experience of working in a fast-paced environment ideally in Corporate, Finance or Banking
  • Fluent French both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting workloads, prioritise well and work to deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise conflicting workloads and be able to work as part of a team
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge and minimum typing speeds of 60-65wpm
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grade C or Above or equivalent
