Montessori Nursery Practitioner required in Bristol

A Nursery Nurse is required for a Montessori nursery to cover maternity leave.

Your new nursery
You will be working in a Montessori nursery which cares for children aged 2-5 years old. The nursery is a renovated house which has 4 large rooms for children to explore and play using a variety of natural resources that are used in everyday life. The nursery is free flow encouraging the children to be independent and making their own choices as to which room they go into. There is onsite parking as well as good public transport links. You will be joining a friendly team, the majority of which have worked at the nursery for over 5 years.

Your new job
You will be working with the children but wouldn't be a key person so you would be there to support and assist the children when they ask for help. As a Montessori practitioner the role is child led and you change the day due to the interest or choices of the children. You will be expected to carry out health and safety checks. It is essential to be interactive with the children, guiding learning through play. You will need to be team focused, helping the other practitioners where needed.

What you'll need to succeed
You need to be a Level 3 or Level 2 or Unqualified with experience in a nursery in the past two years. You will also need to be enthusiastic and creative in the nursery, to ensure the children continue to be engaged.
