A prestigious US Law Firm is looking to hire a new Office Service Assistant to join the London office on a permanent basis who will be responsible for the efficient operation of the day-to-day facilities and office services duties.  Responsibilities will include purchasing, delivering, storing and distributing supplies, assisting with office space issues and furniture repair and replacements, key and lock repair and replacements, and repair and replacement of all non-Information Technology equipment and appliances (i.e. printers, coffee machines, vending machines, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, zip taps etc.) ensuring kitchens areas and vending machines are adequately stocked on a daily basis, maintaining physical space relating to conference room and special event set ups, along with the Manager, liaising with outside vendors and the firms personnel to coordinate and supervise general and building maintenance services promptly with regard to cleaning, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, carpeting, electrical, plumbing and furniture/fixtures, maintaining, monitor and coordinate repair of office security system, overseeing the collection of confidential shredding, assisting with office moves and space issues including 6-monthly trainee rotations, setting up offices for new joiners and visitors, ensuring that correct furnishings, equipment, information stands and name plates are in place, assisting with clearance of offices following staff departures.  Other duties include performing weekly inspection of premises; records any issues, conducting DSE assessments for new joiners, movers and pregnant employees, and implements corrective action as needed, ensuring First Aid supplies are up-to-date, assisting with building evacuations and drills.  Candidates must have a minimum of two years’ experience working within a professional services organisation, strong communication, customer service and attention to detail skills and proficient Microsoft Office skills.
