Leading and expanding US law firm based in London is looking to a hire a London-based Coordinator, ideally looking for a high level paralegal who is now taking an alternative career path than that of qualifying, preferably with funds/ asset management experience who is also very capable when it comes to IT and has an interest in project management, the Coordinator will work independently to assist lawyers and other staff to provide support to the Financial Services Group and their clients.  The team provides an offering to investment firms, allowing them access to concise global marketing and distribution guidance, in approximately 100 jurisdictions worldwide as well as beneficial ownership reporting requirements and other guidance in key jurisdictions. Applicants are expected to have a good knowledge of the funds environment, be analytical, focused, hardworking, a team player and able to relate well to people and a challenging varied environment. Duties will include initiating and co-ordinating the quarterly update process with external counsel, completing and filing the relevant notifications, on behalf of non-UCITS products, to the relevant regulatory authorities in order to comply with the AIFMD, managing initial and ongoing listing requirements of UCITS ETFs for overseas exchanges and ensuring required publications etc. are made through relevant exchanges and in a timely manner, continuous review and watching brief of relevant legal and regulatory updates in foreign jurisdictions, checking and uploading platform content, preparing detailed sales pitches for large prospective clients, participate in creating and maintaining team procedures, developing timetables and tracking documents, proactively following up on action items, adapting to varying client needs and processes, ability to work with electronic platforms for the creation and maintenance of fund related information, suggesting improvements to processes, time recording and billing on a case by case basis and reporting to stakeholders on progress on projects or other initiatives. Applicants need to be business minded, self-educating, curious and pragmatic, solution oriented mind-set and capable of working under pressure with commitment to deliver under tight deadlines.
