Fast paced US law firm based in the City is looking to hire a bright, hardworking and high-level paralegal to work in their International Regulation & Compliance group – the majority of this work will be litigious where you will be asked to assist with the discovery process, including interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence and taking and defending depositions, assist with researching and gathering evidence, conduct due diligence and compile reports advising clients on international legal risks relating to business with 3rd party entities, liaise with opposing counsel, assist in client registration with various government agencies, review and analyse privileged documents and create issue modules for clients as part of internal and governmental investigations, compile reports and advice for clients regarding legislative developments and relevant policy concerns, support the publication of client alerts and advisories, compile analysis of major sanctions, AML, and export violation enforcement actions for attorneys and clients, create content for firm business development included, but not limited to, group social media presence and official blog, monitor case dockets of relevant ongoing proceedings relevant to firm and clients and manage pro-bono cases including communications with clients and submissions to government and courts.  You will be expected to work as a Fee-Earner and will require to develop good relationships with colleagues and clients, contribute to the profitability of the firm, measured in terms of work effort and collections on time billed, demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, loyalty and commitment to the firm, and motivation to serve clients be able to meet or exceed billable budget.  Applicants require excellent writing analytical and critical thinking skills, character meeting the highest standards, sound judgement, ability to organise, prioritise and supervises cases with the ability to develop professional relationships, and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of clients, lawyers, colleagues and staff.  Law degree is a must as is previous high-level paralegal duties, preferably from within litigation and with exposure to client contact.
