A top UK Law Firm is looking to hire a new HR Officer on an initial 6 Month FTC with the view of potentially becoming permanent.  Responsibilities will include actioning all recruitment for support and secretarial staff, in line with the firm’s agreed recruitment policy, advertise all posts internally and place them on the firm’s website, review, shortlist, organise and conduct interviews, arrange for employment offers and provide feedback to agencies, arrange and deliver induction for all new staff, provide day-to-day advice and guidance on all aspects of employee relations, provide advice on disciplinary, grievance and equality and diversity matters, act as investigating office in investigations, liaise with the secretarial coordinator to ensure appropriate cover when needed, issue performance review forms to all staff, ensure CIPD records for Fee-Earners are up to date.  Other duties include assisting the Head of HR with the salary review, monitoring staff sickness and absence records, conducting absence interviews, prepare budget figures for annual review, assist the Head of HR with all firm benefits administration, providing payroll assistance on a monthly basis, administrating the leaver process, administer the Graduate Recruitment and Trainee Training process.  Candidates must have previous HR experience within a law firm, ideally CIPD qualified, and must have strong written, communication and organisational skills.  Standard hours are 9.00am – 5.00pm.
