Hire Desk Controller

Hire Desk Controller / Rushden / 6 month temp contract, could extend further

An opportunity has arisen for a Hire Desk Controllrer to join our Rushden - based client. This post is initially for 6 months, with a possibility of being extended further thereafter.

Working within a fast-paced Hire Desk as part of a growing team dealing with Hire enquires/requests from UK sites via telephone and Outlook.


Your new role:

• Ensuring the customers on/off hire requests are dealt with efficiently and effectively in line with Company procedure
• Raising purchase orders on in house systems accurately in a timely manner
• Liaise with Suppliers & sites regarding the supply of plant
• Oversee any problems regarding deliveries and use the escalation process where necessary
• Ensure Suppliers paperwork is correct relating to on/off hires

• Team Player essential
• Enjoys a challenge whilst remaining positive and enthusiastic
• Able to work within agreed timescales and deadlines
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to take ownership of workload, can prioritise and organise without supervision whilst remaining part of the team
• IT literate with the ability to use in-house systems proficiently
• Excellent communicator both verbally and written skills
• Reliable with an excellent work ethic and integrity
• Plant product knowledge an advantage but not essential
• Flexibility approach to the role and able to adapt to change easily
