An Award-Winning International Law firm is looking to hire a new Business Manager on an initial 12 Month FTC, to support the Media, IP and Corporate practices.  Responsibilities will include leading the business planning and budgeting required by both practices to develop long range development plans coupled to shorter term financial, BD and resourcing targets, ensure the practices develop compelling and competitive value propositions by practice area and team, secure high placement in leading legal directories in collaboration with the marketing services team, working with the marketing services team and the lawyers to build overall brand and reputation in the external market place, practice area marketing and business development, providing strategic advice and guidance to lawyers concerning how to raise profile, awareness and drive market reputation to key buyer groups, working alongside lawyers to implement appropriate positioning and business development tactics including legal updates, bulletins, blogs, conferences, seminars and corporate hospitality, ensure practice area marketing initiatives dovetail with firmwide marketing and brand building activities, establish and monitor an approach to measure return on investment on marketing and business development activities, oversee marketing and business development budgets for the practice groups.  Other duties include working with the Proposals Manager to drive the delivery of bids, proposals, client presentations and capability statements, act as a 'champion' for best practice bid management within the practices, improve standard content and materials to support the bid process, working alongside the Head of Client Development, reaffirm and develop the Commercial Group's Key Account Programme and implement CRM best practice.  Candidates must have previous Business Development experience working at Manager level, within a professional services organisation, education must be at graduate level, along with the ability to think strategically, commercially and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
