LAW Absolute is currently working with an international Financial Services organisation actively seeking a Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Operations Director, this is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking company during a period of growth, as a part of a friendly and welcoming department.

The Compensation and Benefits Specialist oversees the Nordic region, covering Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Responding to any queries relating to payroll or compensation and benefits
  • Develop and participate in compensation and benefit surveys
  • You will liaise and advise on all of the variable components of payroll, compensation & benefits within the Nordic region.
  •  Arrange all paperwork to be completed by candidates in a compliant way.
  • You will work closely with the legal, sales and Operations teams internally, in looking at what benefits can be given in each of the countries and ensure they are set up.
  •  Ensure that the payroll is complete and correct and that all taxes and social security payments are calculated correctly, with our partners
  • You will answer all payroll and benefits questions from our employees
  • Support aspects of the salary and bonus review cycles
  • Liaise with HR business partners to make effective compensation proposals/decisions
  • Conduct analysis and develop data sets on compensation related human capital analytics
  • Administer country and regional workforce compliance requirements
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders such as the payroll teams and external providers to implement and improve administration processes
  • Act as a key member of the reward team, advising colleagues on all elements of compensation and benefits educating colleagues on best practice
  • Assist in ad hoc compensation and benefits projects as and when required by the Compensation and benefit manager
  • An understanding of the payroll and compensation structures of the Nordic region would be advantageous.

The Person:

  • Previous experience working in Compensation and Benefits is a must
  • Good communicational skills
  • Payroll experience will be advantageous
  • Proactive and a team player
