The Royal Free Charity is rapidly expanding and a new opportunity has risen for a Volunteer Team Receptionist Administrator to be (i) first point of contact for all visitors and enquirers to the Royal Free Charity (RFC) Volunteer Team, handling a wide range of face to face and telephone enquiries, (ii) responsible for supporting the Volunteer Team, and the wider network of RFC Volunteers, by delivering effective administration within a busy and vibrant office and (iii) coordinating the daily rota of volunteers, ensuring that they are placed according to the needs of the Trust and the skills of the volunteers

The RFC works in partnership with the Royal Free Trust by ‘making today feel better’ for all users of the hospitals. We raise and spend millions every year, which supports pioneering research that revolutionises patient care through to everyday improvements in hospital services and facilities.

Our Volunteer Team Receptionist Administrator needs to be a people person who can foster strong relationships with staff and volunteers alike.

Essential Requirments

  • Previous experience of managing a busy and vibrant reception area working with the public with an ability to prioritise and use initiative
  • An ability to:-
    • manage a volunteer rota and to place volunteers appropriately
    • communicate excellently with all members of the public and to listen and support volunteers from mixed and diverse backgrounds with queries and or problems
    • update and manage a volunteer database and manage administration processes

Desirable

  • A background of working in, or experience of, the voluntary or charity sector
  • An ability to clearly articulate The Charity Mission and Values to prospective volunteers
  • Previous experience of managing office stock levels and the ordering of new supplies when required

This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Check.
