Our Client is a global insurance and reinsurance company providing property, casualty, professional, specialty and alternative capital products to industrial, commercial and professional firms, insurance companies and other enterprises across the world. They are looking for a Underwriting Assistant to join the busy vibrant Property and Casualty team.


Key Duties:

*Perform data entry of insurance information into in-house systems to agreed, defined standards of accuracy and timeliness.
*Assisting underwriter - liaising with scanning team; recording skeleton risk details on underwriting system; building broker relationships; developing knowledge of the class of business and the account written; retrieving data for underwriter as requested
*Liaise with credit control team - answering queries, tracking and monitoring premium using core underwriting systems. Oversee premium notice of cancellation process undertaken by credit control. Monitor Credit Control for accuracy and timely progress.
*Manage daily workflow and queries from the business efficiently
*Develop insurance knowledge to support the role
*Maintain effective working relationships with Underwriting teams
*Liaise with Brokers regarding premium income monitoring, late premiums and premium cancellations.
*Collate responses and manage queries
*Attend Underwriting meetings when required
*Perform adhoc operational duties to support the team

Key Skills, knowledge and experience
*Minimum good A-level standard of education
*Demonstrate high levels of accuracy with close attention to detail
*Computer literate, with the ability to develop a full understanding of in-house and Microsoft systems
*Enjoy working in a very close team environment; be willing to provide cover for team members and enjoy helping peers
