I am recruiting on behalf of our client, a prestigious Insurance firm based in Central London. They are looking to recruit a Legal Advisor to assist the In-house solicitor with tasks such as – reviewing legal contracts for new starters, new client contracts, GDPR issues and other contract related issues. The responsibility of the Legal Advisor is examine and advise on a range of legal matters in order to guard the company against legal risk.

THE ROLE:

The Legal Advisor will support the Legal & Governance department

- Reviewing and advising on third party contracts and bespoke T&C`s, non-disclosure agreements, licences, leases, framework agreements and other contracts

- Reviewing, assessing and drafting IT, IP agreements

- Provide advice on IT, IP, e-commerce and general commercial laws

- Supporting clients in the negotiation of a range of transactions

- Corporate support and due diligence work

- Governance matters more generally (e.g. GDPR/data protection, Modern Slavery, anti-bribery/anti-corruption)

- To assist with any data protection registrations and corresponding Subject Data Access Requests

- To advise and support the business in negotiating contracts

THE PERSON:

- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales 0-2 years PQE or an experienced Paralegal

- Hold strong commercial contracts drafting experience

- Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

- Enthusiastic team player, providing support to other members of staff

- Strong interpersonal skills, able to establish and maintain professional working relationships at all levels
