Travelling Lady's Maid / Personal Valet

Our client, a European creative lady, is seeking to hire a Lady’s Maid / Valet to travel with her and support her in her personal care, appearance and presentation. This is a busy travelling role where you shall be dividing most of your time between London and the Caribbean with travel to the USA and throughout Europe. As the clients personal valet, you shall liaise with and organise other professionals to support the principal with her grooming and self-care routine such as stylists, make-up artists, hairdressers, beauticians and massage therapists.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who has a personable, warm hearted approach to their work and candidates who speak Italian and/or Spanish will have a distinct advantage over candidates speaking only English.

As the lady has children, you will need to enjoy working with and around children and teenagers. You will also be required on occasion to support the gentleman of the house with wardrobe care, packing and support.

Your duties in supporting the principal shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Boudoir, dressing room and bathroom care and styling; Fresh flowers, candles, lamps, general tidiness

• Organising Hairdressing and personal grooming, fashion and personal styling, Spa and Beauty treatments; manicure, pedicure, facials, massage etc

• Personal shopping and errands

• Care of accessories, shoes, Millinery and jewellery

• Pressing of items worn, cleaning of shoes, brushing of hats, bags and general maintenance of accessories.

• Garment sewing, mending, alterations & repairs

• Organising specialist cleaning

• Dressing and undressing

• Packing, storage and travel

• Wardrobe Management

Due to the extensive travelling nature of this position, this opportunity would suit an experienced Lady’s Maid / Personal Valet who does not have dependants and enjoys a travelling lifestyle, mostly in warmer climates.
