A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen working for a leading international financial services firm based in the City. Our client is currently recruiting for a skilled and highly motivated Research Production Assistant to join their busy, friendly equity research production team. This position is a permanent position working Monday to Friday 09.00-18.00 with a generous salary of up to £40,000 per annum with excellent perks and a generous bonus package. The successful candidate will be working within a team producing research papers for the business as well as providing full research production support.

The role will focus on ensuring research is formatted professionally and in line with the firm’s branding guidelines. In addition, you will be responsible for extracting data and coordinating key research products for the firm. You will need to be fully proficient and confident with using Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience with working within research and the financial services world.

Duties to include

  • Producing research documentation using MS Office software
  • Using Word, Excel and PowerPoint, you will format, proof read and edit all research documentation prior to publication
  • Ensuring branding and house style is consistent by providing full training to new starters and existing analysts in the use of the departmental template
  • Reviewing research to ensure it is professionally presented in line with the firm’s requirements
  • Designing and developing materials and collateral for internal and external purposes
  • Scheduling reports with the production team by producing a summary of the forthcoming results and workflow with collaboration from multi-sector analysts
  • Producing PDF documents with appropriate formatting
  • Troubleshooting problems and routing them to the correct team

The successful candidate must have the following skills to be considered:

  • Advanced MS Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Previous Equity Research and/or CRM Administration
  • Knowledge of Pivot tables is advantageous
  • Experience working within a multinational financial firm producing equity research
  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly and proactive approach
  • Comfortable learning and using new templates
  • Confident with workflow systems
  • Organised, efficient, able to cope in a busy environment
  • Highly organised approach to work
  • Must be able to think laterally and identify potential issues
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal peers and research analysts alike
  • Be able to prioritise workloads and work well both individually and in a collaborative sense with other team members.
  • Have a good understanding of using Thomson Reuters/ Bloomberg systems to extract information required for research and other ad hoc tasks.
