Exciting new opportunity to join a thriving solicitors as a Legal Secretary based in central Cambridge

Your new company
A flourishing full-service commercial law firm, long established across England who pride themselves on offering a friendly and professional legal service to their clients. They operate in a number of offices with approximately 1000 staff covering the full spectrum of legal divisions.

Your new role
This is a permanent Legal Secretary vacancy, specialising within their busy Contentious Business Unit based at the Cambridge office, where you will be doing secretarial and admin duties to two Partners, a Solicitor and the rest of the Unit as required.
This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday; working hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with an hour lunch break. You will perform the full range of Legal Secretarial duties. The role will consist of mainly copy and audio typing, preparing reports, billing and completions preparation, diary management, client contact and file management.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate must be trained in secretarial practice, with a strong level of word processing and audio-typing skills. You should have a good attitude to work and an enthusiasm to do a good job. Legal experience would be advantageous, plus previous experience as a Legal Secretary or experience of working in a professional office, including experience of electronic working would most likely help with a successful performance within the role.
The position would suit someone who is personable, flexible, confident and who is very accurate and has an eye for detail who is used to dealing with a busy and varied workload and has the ability to remain calm under pressure.

What you'll get in return
