Events Officer
Our client is looking for a proactive, experienced events officer for their organisation for a temporary period of three months.
Who will you be working for?
Our client is a health and care profession regulatory body set up to protect the public. They ensure health and care professionals meet standards for training, professional skills, behaviour and health. The organisation has around 260 employees across a variety of departments, based in central London.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will be assisting in the implementation of the organisations communication strategy and in raising their profile.
Duties include:
- Event delivery - working closely with the events manager to co-ordinate and deliver internal including employer events, lunches and education seminars, and external events such as conferences and exhibitions
- Systems processes and project support - co-ordination of external talks and presentation calendar, producing reports for events and researching for new events/conferences
- Department Support - supporting the communications department in delivery of projects and activities, preparation of reports and statistical information as required, admin tasks
About you
- Educated to degree level standard or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to perform well both within a team and independently
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to take initiative
- Experience of event organisation in a business environment
- Experience and knowledge of working with a communications department within either a charity, public sector organisation, regulatory environment or health field.
