As part of a busy HR team, the HR Advisor will provide a comprehensive advisory service across the full employee life cycle in a proactive, efficient and confidential manner. Partnering with the Head of HR across a range of HR, recruitment and L&D activities for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Generalist
- Providing business partnership to all line managers up to Senior Account Manager level to proactively support them with team issues.
- Support with the preparation of new starter paperwork including contracts, offer letters, references and new starter forms.
- Collate weekly HR update for the Board and monthly HR reports on recruitment, leaver analysis etc.
- Administration of employee engagement surveys and support Head of HR to analyse results, identifying key themes and actions.
- Carry out exit interviews, providing a quarterly review of the key themes with suggested actions and flagging any immediate issues for attention.
- Proactively support any projects implemented by the HR team and take ownership of designated projects.
- Actively suggest and implement internal process improvements that support an efficient and business-focused HR service.
- Carry out any other ad hoc duties in order to support the smooth running of the HR department.
Learning and Development
- Provide comprehensive Learning and Development support, identifying training needs, facilitating and carrying out training sessions as required.
- Manage the probationary review process and all supporting documentation including catch ups with new starters prior to the probationary review, identifying and flagging any issues to managers as appropriate.
- Support the PDR process by providing advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Manage the induction process for all new starters, overseeing the coordination of group inductions and carrying out HR inductions. Proactively suggest improvements to the process to ensure best in class on-boarding.
Recruitment
- Responsible for end to end recruitment across a range of roles, sourcing directly where possible and providing an exceptional candidate experience.
- Assist in building and nurturing talent pools and support in the development of recruitment strategies to attract the best talent to the agencies.
- Update the job section of the company website and liaise with the Marketing team to coordinate recruitment through social media channels.
- Manage CVs received directly via company email and maintain recruitment database.
Compensation and Benefits
- Manage monthly payroll process, providing all starters, leavers and changes to payroll team.
- Management of all employee benefits and supporting the annual renewal process for health and risk benefits.
Employee Relations
- Provide HR advice to employees and line managers in a timely manner to help resolve employee relations, absence and performance issues in accordance with agency policies and UK employment law, escalating to Head of HR as appropriate.
- Manage the maternity/paternity/parental leave processes and family friendly policies including applications for flexible working.
- Support Head of HR with ER issues including redundancies, disciplinaries and grievances.

- Experience of delivering in a busy HR advisory role.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to deal with issues in a discrete and confidential manner.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, ideally in a creative industry.
