Risk and Compliance Officer. 

This role is projects and advisory driven, if you are keen on developing in this area this is a great career move for you. The position is for a Legal Risk and Compliance Officer to join a Manchester based insurance law firm working on a 12+ month contract ensuring effective management of the firm’s risk and compliance obligations, in line with the applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

You will be required to have risk and compliance/regulatory experience from a legal background. Deputising for the Risk and Compliance Manager you should have the ability to build effective relationships with both key stakeholders and team members, with ideally 2-3 years’ experience gained in a legal regulatory environment. 
 
Main responsibilities can include coordinating complex complaint handling, advising on SRA handbook compliance, breach management, incident investigation and mitigation implementation, implementation of law society practice notes into policy/procedures, advising and maintaining processes on data protection legislation and managing DSAR notifications and assisting in risk framework management. 

You will also be required to provide reports and MI data, conduct policy and compliance audits and responding to subject access requests.
