Technical Analyst/Operations Coordinator
This role will involve assisting with internal and external progress and risk reporting, budget development and management and programme management. The role also provides administration support to the team.
Who will you be working for?
This organisation represents the transmission and distribution network operators for electricity and gas in the UK and Ireland. They control and maintain the critical national infrastructure that delivers these vital services into our homes and businesses.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the development and ongoing management of systems/processes in the company.
- Supporting the development, and ongoing business reporting for projects, consultant and contractor budgets.
- Co-ordinating and monitoring contractors and invoices.
- Assisting in ensuring financial governance of engineering and safety budget and costs.
- Developing and delivering engineering work programme.
- Provide administration support such as setting agendas and minute taking.
- Ongoing management of the risk register.
- Manage the documents database.
- Coordinating the quarterly progress report to members.
About you.
- Practical organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise.
- Well-developed written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Intermediate-advanced capability with the use of MS Excel, and the MS Office suite.
- The ability to work to specific cyclical deadlines.
The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain solid working relationships; have strong organisational skills and able to take responsibility for delivering expected outcomes. You will need strong administration skills and to be an effective communicator, both orally and in writing. You should be able to work independently as well as a team player. It would be beneficial to have a background in energy or utilities sector context although this is not essential. Ideally someone who has a Biology/Chemistry, Technology or Science Degree.
