An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Manager to work for this dynamic small-medium sized media company in their attractive offices in Central London.  The company is an innovative and fun place to work and also offers exceptional benefits.

Role

Being a front of house Office Manager, you will be important central figure in the office with a broad remit and  therefore be pro-active, organised and also outgoing as part of your role will be taking control of team and social events for the company.  The company values its staff and enjoys a strong team spirit.

Duties

As Office Manager this is a very varied role which will include:-

  • Main contact for landlord building manager and suppliers.  Ensuring the office and its facilities run smoothly and supplies are replenished accordingly.
  • Escalating any IT issues to the internal IT support officer or for more complex issues the outsourced IT support company.  Ensuring new staff have everything ready on their arrival.
  • Liaising, when required, with travel agency who deals directly with the staff and their travel requirements ensuring everything is operating smoothly
  • Events Organiser – organsing the team and social events for the company and involved with seeking ideas as to what staff would like.  Very much the central figure for the cultural hub of the company.
  • Administration for on-boarding of new starters and a small amount of diary management
  • As a Front of House Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for guests arriving and ensuring the meeting rooms are ready and fully stocked with the necessary equipment and refreshments.
  • Involved in ad-hoc projects to assist in the business, as required.

Person:

  • Strong level of expertise in core MS Office packages – Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships with different teams
  • Pro-active, organised, enthusiastic, flexible with a friendly and collaborative approach
  • Able to use own initiative, responding quickly to changing circumstances and enjoy multi-tasking
  • Able to priortise and think ahead to ensure appropriate courses of action for themselves and others
  • Professional image in dealing with both internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Ideally used to working for small-medium sized company
