Compliance Administration Officer, with an immediate start, based in Southwark, for 6 months in duration.
Your new company
London's largest transport agency is looking for a Compliance Administration Officer. This role is with an immediate start, based in Southwark and is for 6 months in duration.
Your new role
You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Compliance Administration Team Leader. Critically you will be responsible for a range of administration support functions on behalf of the team in support of the Taxi and Private Hire Compliance Officers, whose role it is to carry out a range of on-street compliance checks. You will work closely and collaboratively with peers and colleagues across the Directorate and Surface Transport to ensure consistency and continuous improvement in the administrative processes and frameworks that support the running of the department and the achievement of the Directorate's strategic objectives.
Day-to-day Duties
- Completion of various internal and external administrative documentation to ensure relevant records such as licensee files are kept updated with all relevant details
- Liaising with, and receiving communications from, customers and stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring queries are being dealt with efficiently and effectively
- Provide administrative support to the department to ensure compliance with the plans, policies and procedures
- Ensuring all documentation is recorded, stored and retained in a secure and efficient manner
- Provide effective and efficient support for the Compliance Management Team
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise tasks, respond positively to pressure and tight deadlines
- Interpersonal skills and an ability to interact with staff in a range of areas and organisations
- Microsoft Office skills - Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint essential
- Good customer focus, communication and influencing skills
- Excellent research, analysis and written skills
- Admirable knowledge of administrative and business support tasks, processes and frameworks
- Knowledge of legislation such as Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act desirable
- Experience of analysing data in compliance with the requirements of the judicial system desirable
- Experience working in office management and office administration, and use of filing systems
- Experience working in a customer focused, contract and/or supplier management environment
- Ability to manage multiple complex tasks
