Our client, an international training firm specialising in financial services, is recruiting for a dynamic and ambitious Graphics and PowerPoint Specialist to join their friendly Creative Services team. Based in beautiful offices in central London working 09.00-17.30, you will be integral to the creative team, assisting with the production of marketing materials, bringing ideas to the team and ensuring all materials are formatted and packaged within the firm’s guidelines, to the high standard the firm and their clients work to.

Within this new varied role, you will be responsible for producing high-calibre documents and materials, including training materials, sales collateral, digital publishing and marketing material (website, brochures etc.). Along with this, part of the position will be to ensure the firm has an efficient content management system and process in place to keep everything organised and easily accessible.

A corporate background and understanding is desirable for this position as their clients include the world’s leading investment banks, insurance companies and asset managers. With offices internationally, their coverage is global and delivered across more than 20 countries.

Person specification

  • Ability to work quickly to a high standard with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage workflow, prioritise, multitask and work under pressure.
  • A positive attitude and to actively seek to support the team wherever possible.
  • Excellent knowledge of basic HTML, basic Wordpress, MS Office, specifically PowerPoint / Word templates and Adobe CSS applications: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Possess a creative flair in the creation of suitable visuals within the firm’s overall content look and feel.
  • A positive and proactive person with a keen desire to learn
  • Ability to adapt to deadlines and changing priorities whilst maintaining a high standard of output.
  • Ability to work autonomously and keep others accountable for own actions complete actions.
  • Understanding of content management systems – e.g. Slide source and video editing systems e.g. Camtasia.
  • An understanding of financial industries would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Formatting training materials across the firm’s portfolio of local and global training Programmes. (workbooks, posters, brochures)
  • Updating images to suit style and keep up to date for various documents with the ability to offer conceptual and visual solutions to enhance client materials.
  • Checking proofs for errors and making corrections.
  • Liaising directly with workflow staff and clients to determine deadlines, job instructions and design requirements. Ensuring any issues, queries or changes are managed and actioned. Troubleshooting and problem-solve document or file issues.
  • Creating style guides and updating templates to suit needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing an editorial calendar and working with content writers to agree deadlines to ensure content is received in timely manner. Annually reviewing all document templates and implementing across company.
  • Ensuring all content writers are following process and using up to date templates. Assessing the content to ensure user friendly and easily understandable content.
  • Contributing towards the development of digital assets for the firm’s website. Updating and editing website images, icons, banners, staff pictures. Video creation and editing. Developing policies relating to web content. Creating style guide for alpha portal system. Basic html guidelines to ensure when others upload text to portal, that it is consistent or in line with guidelines.
  • Applying cataloguing protocols, e.g. tagging, categorisations, notes etc.
  • Working closely with the marketing team to devise a content strategy that aligns with the company's wider goals.
  • Establishing standards for material production to be applied with all material authors. This includes a communication plan/template to stakeholders.
  • Delegating work appropriately and advising where budget is necessary.
  • Managing project team to implement new content management system. Ensure project team are accountable for actions and timelines and budgets are kept to.
  • Reviewing lifecycle process, identifying gaps for improvement and implement new process.
  • Reviewing current technology to ensure meets needs of business and plan for scalable improvements as the company grows. Trialing new system and providing training support for internal and external stakeholders.
