A charity that provides practical support services and financial relief is looking for an Events and Communications Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This role requires you to have significant and demonstrable experience in communications and marketing. You will possess excellent strategic and creative judgement and mastery of the analytical skills necessary for successful campaign planning.

You will be experienced in developing effective relationships with senior business supporters across the Industry. You will drive your teams to champion the role of communications as a delivery tool in a context where good judgement is paramount.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analysing sales forecasts
  • Preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives
  • Planning and organising promotional presentations and updating calendars
  • Preparing marketing reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising sales data
  • Planning meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements
  • Meeting communications operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviewing and implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
  • Monitoring services by maintaining records for the communication portal
  • Maintaining the stability and reputation of the Charity by complying with, and influencing the development of, legal and data protection requirements on all case related materials
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining project timelines and priorities
  • Liaising with external suppliers including venues, caterers, speakers to organise events
  • Organise appropriate sponsorship and co-badging of external events
  • Working with our graphic designer to develop promotional materials
  • Maintaining and updating website content for conferences, events and seminars
  • Implement systems with the administrator to manage invitations, sign up, guest list, discounts etc
  • On-the-day management of events

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of two year's experience in communications and marketing
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management experience
  • A strong interest in charities
  • Excellent planning, organisational and management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond to client needs in a timely fashion.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are required
