Who you will be working for
Our client is a renowned Membership charity. You will be working within a small team offering additional support during a very busy period.
What would you be doing?
As Professional Development Officer you will contribute to the delivery of the Society's professional development programme from conception through to completion.
This will include:
- Supporting the organisation and delivery of professional development sessions at the Annual Conference, Focused Meetings and other Society events in collaboration with the rest of the Professional Development team and the Conferences team.
- Supporting the Forum and Executive Committee with Forum activities.
- Supporting the delivery of the Prize Lectures process from nomination to selection and presentation, including the Yearly competition.
- Contributing to specific programme development projects via research and consultation with the membership.
- Supporting internal Equality, Diversity and Inclusion processes including the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Ambassadors, annual data collation and report to Council, and the implementation of recommendations from the annual report, identifying collaborative opportunities with other organisations where appropriate.
- Ensuring that all activities are appropriately branded and deliver optimum outcomes in terms of the strategic aims.
- Maintaining relationships with members, delegates and other key stakeholders.
- Monitoring expenditure within the Members' Programmes budget in collaboration with the Professional Development Manager.
- Other duties as determined by the Professional Development Manager from time to time.
About You
- You ideally have 2 years' experience of working within professional Development.
- You will be passionate about Professional Development.
- Be a strong communicator both written and verbally.
- Have strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Be a strong team player with the ability to work well under pressure.
- You will ideally hold a degree or equivalent.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract position paying up to £25,000k pa - salary will be dependent on experience and benefits will be pro-rata.
