Our client, a Media Organisation, requires a motivated Delegate Sales person to start ASAP. This is a temporary role which is expected to last for two months.
The main duties are:
- Phone prospective delegates to sell conference places
- Achieve and aim to exceed monthly sales targets
- Achieve and aim to exceed daily KPI's on the telephone - connected calls, proposals, call time
- Keep sales pipeline document up to date for reporting purposes
- Report and forecast business accurately on a weekly and monthly basis
- Conduct research
- Assist with delegate enquiries and up sell other conference or seminars where appropriate
- Assist with invoicing
- Assist on-site when needed
- Manage and increase the conference database through research to improve data quality
- Support marketing activities surrounding the event, including e-mail and postal campaigns
- Liaise with the Editorial team to maintain current knowledge of Company products
Skills and Experience
- Proven delegate sales experience
- Demonstrated motivation to build a career in sales
- A strong track record of achieving successful results
- Educated to degree level
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to network
- Customer focus with the ability to build credibility and rapport over the phone and in person
- Able to use initiative as well as work as part of a team
- Strong co-ordination and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to make a high volume of outbound calls
- Able to research data quickly and meticulously
- Attention to detail
