Accounts Payable Assistant in Fashion

A leading global fashion brand is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their dynamic finance department in their fantastic London offices on a 3 month contract to start immediately.

The right person for this role will be an experienced AP Assistant, someone who wants a challenge, and enjoys working on individual tasks but within a busy, lively team.

The Role

• Reconciling a high volume of vendor accounts over several entities and currencies
• Contacting suppliers by telephone and email and discussing their accounts in a professional manner to reconcile the ledger
• Following up on missing invoices and carrying out investigations for mismatching accounts
• Processing invoices to specific GL codes, applying payments to invoices, raising credits where mutually agreed
• Liaising with internal colleagues to resolve queries
• Creating a legacy to enable accounts to be maintained from the relationships developed and information gained from reconciling
