The role
Supporting schools is at the heart of what this company does, and this role plays a key part in helping them to reach more members and to promote their core services to schools nationally. Responsible for new member acquisition and working towards annual targets, you will identify the needs and challenges facing schools and advise them on potential CPD opportunities for school improvement.
You will build relationships with school Headteachers and CEOs of multi academy trusts through predominantly telephone and email interaction, and you will represent the company at external events when required. You will regularly feed into the strategic and marketing plans for promoting the company to non-member schools, and bring a vibrant and innovative approach to generating new leads and creating conversations.
A focus on quality customer service and an ability to deliver results is crucial for this role. They are looking for someone who is motivated, a good team worker and passionate about supporting schools.
Key Accountabilities:
- Successfully contribute to the new member annual target and generate sales for CPD opportunities for schools as standalone items or bundled packages as appropriate
- Follow up, negotiate and close client leads into sales, and where required generate new leads as sales potential
- Work closely with other teams in the organisation to drive forward and raise the profile of the sales teams aims and objectives
- Gather market intelligence and use it to contribute to new and existing product development
- Respond to all relevant incoming customer communication in a professional and timely manner, focussing on producing a positive outcome for the customer
- Keep abreast of education news and policy, and maintain up to date knowledge of the company's products
Person Specification - Essential
- Relevant experience gained in any commercial area involving contact with customers or the general public
- Proven track records of consistently delivering and / or over achieving sales targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills, fast learner and a passion for sales
- Competence and experience in Microsoft Office and a Customer Relationship Management system
