Your new company
Global successful company, engages in the export, import, wholesale, and retail of steel products, mining and sale of iron ores; and sale and trading of non-ferrous scrap, alloys, and products. The company also invests in copper, nickel, coal, power generation, cobalt smelting, gas distribution, as well as manufacturing of chemicals, food, beverages, water supply, fertilisers and many other products and services.
They have an office in the City of London, and currently looking to take on a temporary Business Assistant to join Innovation & Corporate Development department.


Your new role

  • Data input into internal systems Bullion/ECC for payment related transactions and Concur for expense settlements;
  • Creating summary sheets of corporations or/and projects using MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Word or Excel) by referring to websites and existing documentation;
  • Reviewing English documentation and/or any related proof-reading tasks;
  • Undertaking desktop research for marketing purposes e. creating reports on market trends in certain business fields by incorporating data/information on websites;
  • All other administrative work to assist the Innovation & Corporate Development (LDNJA) staff such as copying documents making appointments, booking conference rooms, reserving restaurants, hotels, limos, etc.



What you'll need to succeed
Skills / Knowledge:

  • A bright professional, with a flexible approach who enjoys a demanding office environment and works well under pressure;
  • Well-organised with strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to prioritise tasks within strict time frames;
  • Capable of using own initiative as well as work collaboratively in a team;
    • A good verbal and written communicator, able to analyze and communicate complex information effectively at all levels. Fluency in English is essential; Japanese language skills advantageous, but not essential.
  • Displays good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Experience:

  • Experience working in a related industry in an administrative position would be preferable.

Education:

  • A good standard of secondary education, including Maths and English.
  • A levels or a post compulsory education level or equivalent, possibly an undergraduate degree in areas such as Maths, Economics, Business, Finance or related, although this is not essential.
